My name is Andy Em — the son of immigrants who fled Cambodia during the Khmer Rouge in search of a better life. Philadelphia is where my story begins.
I've lived here my entire life — this city raised me, shaped me, and gave my family a second chance. As a proud Cambodian American, I grew up experiencing Philly not just as a place… but as a feeling — gritty, passionate, unpredictable, and full of heart.
The Philadelphia Survival Kit was created from that place. It's more than just a collection of items — it's a way to welcome people into the city I love.
